One of my favourite parks to bring my children to is the Burns Beach Playground and Water Park in the northern suburb. The area offers great activities for the children.
The playground accommodates children from 2 – 12 years. Just recently renovated, the play facilities are quite brand new and although not too big a playground, it serves its purpose. There are slides, swing, seesaw, single seater bouncy ride, monkey bars and sandpit.

The park has barbecue facilities and is opposite to Burns Beach Café which is quite popular with both the locals and the visitors. Most of the time, we would just get ourselves some sandwiches from the Café and enjoy a picnic on the grassy area.

A bike ride on the cycle/walk path that follows the coastline is always part of our day when we visit Burns Beach Park. We particularly enjoy the magnificent view of the coastal water and the fresh sea breeze.

Then the children have a play on the beach. This is the time when I get to relax and lie down on the beach sand while watching my children enjoy catching water waves or digging in the sand. Unlike other popular beach destinations, the Burns Beach water park is not very crowded.
A plus factor in this park is the toilet and change room access. This is very important as when we go to Burns Beach, the intention is always to spend a half day in the area with the children.
There is also an open shower to rinse the sand off after.
The Burns Beach Playground and Water Park is one of the highly recommended play destination for children in the northern suburb of Perth. If you happen to be in the area, come check it out for yourself.
